Gail Kim
Gail Kim ( born February 20, 1976 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional wrestler, valet, model and actress of Korean descent. It occurs at the time under her real name in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
She began her career wrestling as La Felina in Canadian Independent leagues. She first appeared on WWE in 2002, winning her debut match in the WWE Women's Championship. In 2007, she became the first TNA Women's Knockout Championship, which made her the first wrestler having both the WWE Women's Championship and the TNA Women's Championship held.
Youth and Training
Kim attended the York Memorial Collegiate Institute in Toronto and participated in various sports programs such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball and badminton. After leaving school, she studied exercise science at York University but later switched Ryerson University, where she moved dietetics as a specialist.
After she received her degree, Kim decided to become a wrestler and entered into " Ron Hutchison's ' Pro Wrestling Gym", the old Sully 's Gym in Toronto one. She received additional training sessions by Rob Etchevarria in the " Squared Circle Pro Wrestling Gym". She had her debut as a wrestler in December 2000 as "The Queen of the Cats" La Felina in the Apocalypse Wrestling Federation based in Southern Ontario. First, she wore a mask but she was unmasked by Tracy Brooks after they lost a "Mask versus Hair" match against them. Kim took two years to the Canadian Independent leagues such as Border City Wrestling.
Wrestling career
WWE (2002-2004)
Gail Kim made in 2001 thanks to Jason Sensation acquaintance with the World Wrestling Entertainment employee Nora Greenwald ( ring name Molly Holly). Greenwald encouraged Kim to send their videos to the WWF, which eventually led that they got a contract. In October 2002, she was hired by WWE. She trained for eight months in Ohio Valley Wrestling and performed in house shows and dark matches before she made her debut on Raw on June 30, 2003.
Your first broadcasted on TV WWE match was a seven - Diva Battle Royal and it was a title match for the vacant WWE Women's Championship. Kim won the match and the title conveyed by the end Victoria over the top rope. Kim held the title for four weeks before they had to give him July 28 on Raw to Molly Holly.
Kim broke on 10 November 2003 in a match against Stratus collarbone and had to pause. Kim returned in April 2004 and again teamed with Molly Holly.
Kim's last WWE match was a " school girl" Battle Royal on 19 October at the big event Taboo Tuesday, with the Stratus successfully defended their title. On November 3, 2004 Kim was officially released from her WWE contract. After the 90-day minimum threshold Kim came again for Independent leagues including Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and All World Wrestling League and she had appearances in Japan, South Korea and Mexico.
Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (2005-2008)
America's Most Wanted
In September 2005, Kim signed a contract with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA ). In the Impact edition of 8 October Kim made her debut for TNA and allied himself with Jeff Jarrett immediately and America's Most Wanted (AMW, Chris Harris and James Storm ). Shortly thereafter, she helped AMW NWA World Tag Team Championship from the Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) to recover.
In Impact on 14 December 2006 AMW lost a title match, whereby the Tag Team had to disband. Then Kim feuded with Petey Williams against Storm and his new manager Jacqueline.
Knockout Division
At Bound for Glory on October 14, 2007 Gail Kim was crowned the first TNA Women's World Champion, having won a 10 Knockout Gauntlet Match Roxxi Laveaux defeated and the end. After 85 days regency, however, Kim had the title to leave Awesome Kong, which she could pinning in the main event of Impact, issue of January 10, 2008.
At Sacrifice 11 May 2008 Gail Kim won the first Women Ladder Match TNA history to be number one challenger to the Women's Knockout Championship.
On 21 August 2008 she left TNA.
Return to WWE (2009-2011)
After her contract expired with TNA, Gail Kim again signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment ( WWE). Kim returned to the SmackDown March 27, 2009 as a face back when she intervened during a WWE Divas Championship match between Michelle McCool title and Maryse.
On 29 June 2009, Kim moved again to RAW. After sporadic inserts Kim announced on August 5, 2011 that she will leave the WWE. Their last match was a battle royal on 1 August 2011, when they eiliminierte himself due to dissatisfaction. On 30 September 2011 her profile on the WWE website has been removed.
Return to TNA (2011 - )
The Impact Wrestling Records on 18 October 2011 Kim returned to TNA and attacked Velvet Sky. At the tapings for Impact Wrestling for November 3 2011 she won along with Madison Rayne TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship from Brooke Tessmacher and Tara. This track held the team until 28 February 2012. At the tapings for Impact Wrestling, they lost the title to Eric Young and ODB.
November 13, 2011 Kim won at Turning Point TNA Women's Knockout Champion Velvet Sky. The title they lost at Slammiversary X on June 10, 2012 Brooke Tessmacher. At Bound for Glory on October 20, 2013, it won the title for the third time. The title could hold until 16 January 2014 when she saw him at Impact Wrestling Kim: Genesis lost to Madison Rayne.
Private life
Kim underwent a breast augmentation, before she went to WWE, to which was an increase of their implants in the port.
In December 2005, Kim played an assassin in an independent film, which initially was called Princess and was later renamed to Royal Kill. The film was broadcast on April 10, 2009 in selected cinemas in the United States.
