Gaiman (Chubut)

Gaiman is the capital of the department of Gaiman in Chubut province in southern Argentina. The town is located 15 kilometers west of Trelew in the lower valley of the Río Chubut. In the classification of municipalities in the province of Chubut Gaiman as a community ( municipality ) is the first classified category.

History

Cushamen means in the language of tehuelche stone top. The town was founded in 1874.

Tourism and Attractions

In Gaiman, the tradition of the Casas de Té Galés received ( Welsh tea houses ) that are frequented by locals and tourists alike. The tea is accompanied by biscuits after Welsh recipes like Torta negra Galesa.
