Gaius Claudius Pulcher (consul 92 BC)

Gaius Claudius Pulcher was a Roman politician of the late Republic.

He was probably 105 BC Quaestor and probably the year after that Master of the Mint; possibly he held the two offices a few years earlier. 99 BC he was kurulischer aedile and was extremely magnificent games in which for the first time also occurred elephants at an animal baiting. The following year he led the Court for murder; as praetor 95 BC, he had presided over the Court de repetundis. Before his consulship 92 BC, he was probably in the year 93 BC, when curator responsible for the paving of roads. After his consulship he was perhaps proconsul of Cyrene.
