Gaius Valerius Flaccus (consul)

Gaius Valerius Flaccus was a Roman politician of the late Republic.

Well 96 BC he was praetor urbanus. 93 BC he was probably sent as consul during his tenure to Spain to an uprising of the Celtiberian prostrate, giving him as proconsul in the following year 92 BC succeeded. His governorship in Spain lasted well until 81 BC Since the mid- 80s, he also managed the province of Gallia Trans Alpina. 81 or 80 BC, he celebrated after he had joined the dictator Sulla connected, a triumph over Celtiberian and Gaulish.
