Gaja Gamini ( Madhuri Dixit ) is born out of the black stone wall in Pandharpur. The stone wall is a metaphor just like Gaja Gamini. The wall which is not on its own, the wall does not separate, but unites two worlds and two generations.

These two elements are reflected in Gaja Gamini. When she comes out of the wall, it manifests itself in four different characters - Sangita, Shajuntal, Monica and Mona Lisa.
