Gal'ed

Gal'ed (Hebrew גַּלְעֵד, "memory" ) is a kibbutz in Ramat Menasseh, located between the Jezreel Valley and the Carmel Mountains, approximately 15 km east of Zichron Ja'akowin the vicinity of Tell Megiddo. His original official name was even Yitzhak ( " Yitzhaks / Isaac Stone " ) to the South African Zionist Isaac Ochberg, with the financial support of the land could be purchased.

The kibbutz was founded in 1945 by German Gal'ed members of the Zionist- socialist youth movement Habonim, which belonged to the later Knesset Senta Josephsthal and Giora Josephsthal.
