Galaxy Records

Galaxy Records is an American jazz and blues label.

History of the record label

The record label Galaxy Records was founded in 1951 as a sublabel of Fantasy Records. It was reactivated several times; after it was a jazz label first, it was performed in 1961 as a gospel and rhythm and blues label. As a jazz label it came last from 1978 until the mid- 1980s to look as if there especially recordings Tommy Flanagan and Art Pepper published. Galaxy published in this period including albums by Nat Adderley, Chet Baker, Ron Carter, Stanley Cowell, Red Garland, Johnny Griffin, Roy Haynes, Hank Jones, Philly Joe Jones, Shelly Manne, Ira Sullivan and Cal Tjader.
