Gale

As a strong wind, a wind force 6-7 Beaufort is known in Western and Central Europe mostly. In one speaks of " stormy " or by storm.

Below are the usual limits of some wind strengths.

(10 engl. = Storm ( fr.tempête ), whereas 9 = strong gale )

When the expected date of occurrence of " strong wind " (usually 6-7 Bft., Ie 39-61 km / h) or Sturm ( from 8 Bft. Or 62 km / h) are broadcast by radio or by visual signals warned storm warnings.

The strong wind or storm warnings take place within the regular weather report by the competent meteorological services or coastal radio stations.
