Galenika is the largest pharmaceutical company in Serbia.

The company was founded in 1945 in Belgrade. It is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in South Eastern Europe and is still owned by the state. In 2008, sales amounted to approximately 7.7 billion dinars ( € 83 million). The profit amounted to approximately 1 billion dinars ( € 10.9 million ). The company employs 2,711 employees.

The company will be privatized by the end of 2009, with the proceeds should be at least € 200 million. 30 percent of the company will remain with the Serbian state.
