Galgon

Galgon is a commune in the Gironde department in the region of Aquitaine. The municipality is located in the immediate catchment area of ​​the town of Libourne. Galgon has 2883 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011), a number that more than doubled within the last 40 years. The municipality belongs to the canton in the Arrondissement Fronsac Libourne.

Galgon is a wine-growing village within the Fronsac wine region. The village lies on the right bank of the river Saye, a few kilometers after the opening into the Isle.
