Galib Jafarov

Galib Mussajewitsch Schafarow (Russian Галиб Мусаевич Жафаров; born May 9, 1978 in Aktobe ) is a Kazakh boxer who Featherweight ( to 57 kg) in 2003 became World Champion and twice participated in the Olympic Games.

Career

Schafarow won the silver and 2003 gold medal at 2001 World Championships.

He participated in two Olympics for Kazakhstan. In Athens in 2004, he came to the quarter- finals, in Beijing in 2008, he retired in the first round.

The Asian Games, he finished second in 2002 and 2006 as a third party.
