Galician people

The word Galicians ( galic. Galegos, Spanish Gallegos ) refers to an ethnic group or the inhabitants of the Spanish autonomous community of Galicia. Galicians speak their official language Spanish is also the official regional language Galician, which belongs to the family of Romance languages. The Galicians set with approximately 2.7 million about 6.5 percent of the Spanish population.

Among the ancestors of the Galicians are Celts ( Gallaeker ), Iberians, Romans, Goths and Suevi. Their descendants include the Portuguese and Brazilians.
