Galloway and Upper Nithsdale (Scottish Parliament constituency)
Galloway and Upper Nithsdale was a constituency of the Scottish Parliament. It was introduced in 1999 as one of nine constituencies the election Region South of Scotland, which was re- cut by the revision of constituencies in 2011 and renamed in South Scotland. Here, the constituency Galloway and Upper Nithsdale was abolished. The majority of Galloway and Upper Nithsdale went on in the new electoral district of Galloway and West Dumfries. Galloway and Upper Nithsdale included areas of Dumfries and Galloway Council Area and sent a deputy.
