GALSI

The gas pipeline Algeria - Sardinia - Italy ( Italian: Italia Sardegna Gasdotto Algeria, in short: GALSI ) is a planned natural gas pipeline across the Mediterranean Sea, starting from Algeria via Sardinia to the Italian mainland. The GALSI pipeline will be the tiefstliegendste pipeline in the world after its completion. The pipeline will cost about € 2 billion and is scheduled for a length of 900 kilometers. The completion expected by 2012 according to current plans.

2009 was found in 1000 meters depth during survey work of the pipeline buried in the First World War French battleship Danton. The ship had been torpedoed on 18 March 1917 by a German U- boat. "
