Gambia Independence Act 1964

The Gambia Independence Act 1964 (1964, Chapter 93) is a law that was signed in 1964 by the British Parliament. It entered into force on 17 December 1964. With the law, preparations were made for the complete independence of the Gambia as well as recording in the state union of the Commonwealth of Nations. Until 1965, Gambia was a crown colony of the United Kingdom.
