L' Esquive (Eng. " dodging " ) is a French film drama directed by Abdellatif Kechiche from the year 2004.

Action

A group of adolescents in a French suburb rehearses in the French teaching the play The Game of Love and Chance by Marivaux. Abdelkrim, called Krimo which is initially not involved in the piece, falls in love with Lydia. In order to come closer to Lydia, he exchanges with Rachid some of his belongings to the male lead in the play. Since he did not manage to escape his shy nature, he fails embarrassingly both as an actor and in his attempt to approach Lydia.
