Gamma Arietis

Mesarthim ( " The first star of Aries " ) is the name of the star γ Arietis (Gamma Arietis ). Mesarthim is a separable even in small telescopes double star with an angular distance of 7.7 arcsec ( position angle: 0 degrees). Both components are of spectral type A0 V and have an apparent magnitude of 4.75 mag. Mesarthim is about 204 light-years away from Earth ( Hipparcos database).
