Gamma diversity

The gamma - diversity describes the biodiversity of a landscape, starting from approximately 1,000 ha to 1,000,000 ha Accordingly, the gamma diversity usually includes a variety of alpha - diversities, which, however, does not necessarily significantly by their beta - must be different diversities. Hunter (2002) describes gamma diversity as " the diversity of species on a geographical scale ." The gamma diversity is in turn a part of the epsilon- diversity that describes the biodiversity of several landscapes in a geographical region.
