Gandhi Ashram School

The Gandhi Ashram School in Kalimpong is situated in the hills of Darjeeling in India. It was founded by the Jesuit Father Ed McGuire for children whose families have no money for education. The focus of the school is on the musical education. Students learn from the first class to a string instrument, some students of the school take on concert tours in Europe, together with resident musicians. The school has its own violin workshop.
