Gandhi Jayanti

Gandhi Jayanti is one of three official Indian national holidays. It is held annually on 2 October, the birthday of revered as Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, held in all Indian states and union territories.

The day is devoted to prayer, the silent and the public. In addition to organized commemorations regional governments and private schools and institutions is the Raj Ghat in New Delhi, the place designed for commemorative place of cremation of Gandhi, the central place of worship.

It is common Gandhi Raghupathi Raghava Rajaram favorite song to sing in remembrance of him.
