Ganswindt (crater)

Ganswindt is a lunar impact crater on the moon back in the Amundsen Ganswindt Basin. It is located near the south pole and the moon crater Idel'son and Schrödinger. It is about 384,000 km from Earth.

It was established in 1970 by the International Astronomical Union ( IAU) after the German inventor and rocket pioneer Hermann goose Windt ( 1856-1934 ) named.
