Ganta

Ganta, also Gahnpa, according to the population is the largest city of Nimba County in Liberia, West Africa. There are about 41,100 inhabitants, a large part of the population is Muslim.

Ganta is located on the border with Guinea and is situated at the Mani River, the main tributary of the Saint John River. With support from the United Methodist Church, the doctors founded Dr. George Harley and his wife Winifred, the Ganta Hospital, this hospital now supplies more than 450,000 inhabitants in northern Liberia and neighboring States.
