Ganymed (Band)

Ganymede was an Austrian band that was formed in the 1970s and specialized in futuristic disco music and synth pop.

Career

Her biggest hit was in 1978 with the song Ganymed It Takes Me Higher, the rank 5 held for four weeks in the Austrian charts. In Germany the title space reached 23, the almost eponymous album Takes You Higher, however, was less successful, but stayed for twelve weeks in Austria and peaked at number 16 of the album charts. In the same year, the title Saturn unplaced in Austria on rank 19 of the charts, two years later, Money Is Addiction ( of This Crazy World ) was followed by 17th place characteristic of the band and their music was the theme of " space". Futuristic sounds and costumes behave Ganymede to a permanent place in the sub-genre space disco.

In some of the recent Ganymede concerts in 1981 Falco participated as bassist.
