Ganzi Mugula

Ganzi Mugula ( born July 24, 1979 in Namirembe ) is a Ugandan swimmer.

Mugula who works as a computer technician Stanbic Bank in Kampala, is the nephew of Olympic participant from 1956 Benjamin Nduga. Before he began swimming in 1999, he worked as an athletic 400 - meter runner. In addition to three All -Africa Games, two Commonwealth Games and two World Championships Mugula also took part at the World Swimming Championships in Shanghai. He was also in the squad of the Ugandan team for the 2012 Summer Olympics and served there as a team captain and flag bearer. His part in the Olympics secured thereby a wild card by the FINA, their allotment he had previously been waiting twelve years.

In London, he started on the 50-meter freestyle distance. There he finished in fifth place of its forward travel, finishing with a time of 27.58 seconds, which meant the leveling of his Ugandan cup record, the 53rd place in the final standings.
