Gaotai County

The circle Gaotai (高 台 县; pinyin: Gaotai Xiàn ) is the district of the city of Zhangye in northwest China's Gansu Province. It has an area of 4312 km ² and has 160,000 inhabitants ( 2004). Its main town is the large village Chengguan (城关 镇).

The site of the " Camel City " ( Luotuocheng ) ( Luotuocheng Yizhi骆驼 城 遗址) and the old city and tombs of Xusanwan ( Xusanwan cheng ji Muqun许 三 湾 城 及 墓群) from the Han to the Tang period are on the list of monuments of the people's Republic of China ( Gansu ).
