Gara

Gara ( Basque for "We Are " ) is a bilingual ( Basque and Spanish) newspaper in the Basque Country (Spain ), which in Donostia (Spanish: San Sebastián) is issued. The proportion authored in Spanish texts is larger than the than that written in Basque.

Gara has 130,000 readers by its own account, and has been published since 30 January 1999 as the successor to the leftist and pro- separatist Egin, which was banned on 15 July 1998 by the Spanish government under José María Aznar.

On 12 March 2004 it is known internationally, as it reports by 18 clock that a person in the name of the Basque separatist organization ETA should have phoned her, which denied the involvement of ETA at Madrid's cable stops.
