The Garda Mountains are a mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps extensive in northern Italy.

Boundary and landscape

The lake mountains are in the south by the Po valley and the north by the Brenta, on the east by the Adige Valley and on the west by the Giudicarie. The exact delimitation by the Alpine Club classification of the Eastern Alps is: Lake Iseo - Col di San Zeno - Val Trompia - Passo di Manivia - Bagolino - Storo - Tione - Vezzano - Trento - Val d'Adige - Verona - Brescia - Iseo.

The highest peak is Mount Cadria with 2254 m slm.

The climate of Lake Garda mountains is very mild due to its southern location and the influence of the Mediterranean. In the Sarca Valley and on the shores of Lake Garda, the snow rarely falls, and in spring and autumn temperatures between 15-20 degrees are often measured. The lake mountains offer no glaciations and hardly ski resorts. Alpinistisches center of Lake Garda mountains is the town of Arco. In the area of Arco are countless sports climbing areas.

The lake and its surrounding mountains are a popular destination for water sports, mountain bikers, hikers and climbers.

On the western shore of Lake Garda extends the Parco Alto Garda Bresciano.
