Garden Route

The Garden Route ( Afrikaans: Tuinroete ) is a region on the southern coast of South Africa along the National Road N2.

It stretches from Mossel Bay in the Western Cape to near Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. Coastal main towns of the Garden Route are George, Mossel Bay, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay.

The Garden Route is one of the tourist highlights in South Africa and is visited each year by hundreds of thousands of tourists. Main attractions include the Garden Route National Park and the lagoon of Knysna.

As one of the best surfing is Jeffreys Bay (west of Port Elizabeth located ) known.
