Gardendale is a city in Jefferson County in the U.S. state of Alabama. It has about 12,200 inhabitants ( 2004) on an area of 46.5 km ².

Geography

Gardendale is located off Interstate 65, one of three main connections between the Midwest and the Gulf Coast. This remote connection results in north-south direction through the city, just off U.S. Highway 31 The built only a few years ago Interstate 22 branches at Gardendale from I- 65 and leads northwestward to Memphis.
