The TGV Haute -Picardie station is a long-distance railway station in the French commune Ablaincourt - Pressoir, surrounded by the Somme. It is used daily by about 9,000 travelers and is located on the high-speed line between Paris and Lille Nord. The station is located about ten kilometers west of Peronne, between the towns of Saint- Quentin and Amiens. After its opening, the building of the press has been strongly criticized that he was too far away from one of the larger cities. He has been nicknamed la gare of betteraves ( " beet Station " ) because it was far away from larger settlements built in the middle of the large sugar beet fields of northern France.

Nearby, however, there are departures from the busy Autoroute A1 ( in North-South direction ), and the Autoroute A29 ( east-west direction).

The station has four tracks, two of which are platform tracks and two serve as transit track, as the train station is passed by the majority of TGV and Thalys trains without stopping. In 2010, 400,000 travelers used the station. Since its commissioning in 2010 there were five million passengers who use the station.
