Garfield County (Nebraska)

Garfield County is a county located in the state of Nebraska in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Burwell.

Geography

The County is located just north-east of the geographic center of Nebraska and has an area of 1480 square kilometers, of which 3 square miles is water area. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Wheeler County, Valley County, Loup County and Holt County.

History

Garfield County was formed in 1884. It was named after President James A. Garfield.
