Keys

The Garmon has 25 treble keys, spread over two rows. These include three octaves and a few semitones, and 25 bass keys in three rows, including a series of melody bass tones. The images show the C major occupancy, usually most of the instruments are tuned in A Major, but the relative key assignment remains the same.

Treble

The Garmon is a double row instrument. In the two series are the notes of a diatonic scale. The distribution of marks is relatively simple, it is alternately a note in the one and the next one in the other row. Half tones are present only at the lower end of the keyboard. All sounds are gleichtönig, thus giving you drag as well as when you press the same sound. Mature key assignments have often at the bottom of some sounds that are wechseltönig. This assignment of the keys allows the same relatively simple many chords can be used, even minor chords.

Bass

The bass side is different from all other harmonica instruments; It is three rows and also gleichtönig.

In the first series of the major triads and at the bottom of a seventh chord are arranged. The occurring in folk music progressions can therefore be relatively easy to use. The first series also leaves the model of the diatonic harmonica recognize. The arrangement of the key assignment in the pulling direction is almost the same.

In the second row there are two minor and two other seventh chords.

The third row provides eight basic melody bass. Thus, a melody on the bass side to a modest extent possible. There are older instruments with less buttons on the bass part.
