Garry Shandling
Garry Shandling ( born November 29, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois ) is an American actor and comedian.
Short Biography
Garry Shandling grew up in Tucson, in the U.S. state of Arizona. He attended Palo Verde High School and the University of Arizona. Initially, he studied electrical engineering, but later made his final exam in marketing. In addition Shandling studied two semesters Creative Writing.
In his early career, he wrote for television shows such as Sanford and Son (1972) and Welcome Back, Kotter (1975). After a serious car accident Shandling precipitated during his recovery, the decision to become a stand-up comedian.
A Service of NBC from 1992 to take over the show Late Night with David Letterman, Garry Shandling declined, as he had just launched the The Larry Sanders Show to life.
Garry Shandling is friends with actress Dana Delany.
