Gary Allan

Gary Allan ( born December 5, 1967 in La Mirada, California as Gary Allan Herzberg ) is an American country singer.

Life

Gary Allan grew up on a California ranch. Since early childhood he was enthusiastic about surfing and for country music. Influenced by the stars of the Baker Fielder scene, especially Buck Owens and Merle Haggard, he started to make music himself. As a teenager, he accompanied his father, which occurred in bars and clubs around. By his early twenties, he founded his own band. It took almost seven years to get a demo tape found its way to Decca Records. In 1996, a record contract was completed.

Career

1996, produced by Mark Wright album Used Heart for Sale was released. It advanced to the top 20 album charts. The coupled- singles were less successful, as Allan's tradition -oriented music was played by the radio stations rarely. His second album, It Would Be You, was released in 1998. The single of the same was also placed in the top 10. In early 1999 Decca withdrew from the music business. Gary Allen, who "surf cowboy ", was acquired by the MCA label together with his producer Mark Wright.

The 1999 -established album Smoke Rings in the Dark finally brought sales success. The album went platinum, and there have been two successful singles decoupled. 2001, the album Alright Guy extracted single reached number one on the Man to Man Country Hit Parade.
