Gary Green (musician)

Gary Green ( born November 20, 1950 in Stroud Green, England ) is a musician. He plays guitar, mandolin, bass, drums, xylophone and singing.

Green was from 1970 to 1980 the lead guitarist of the progressive rock band Gentle Giant, where he incorporated styles from the blues in their music.

From 1983 to 1989 he played in a band called Blind Dates together with drummer Albert Hurst and in the group Big Hello. After he had left the band, he produced an album with Paul Adams.

Later, he played in a power-pop band called The Elvis Brothers, whose style was similar but by no means the Gentle Giant.

In September 1995 he traveled with the band to Divae Marechiaro Blues Festival. There she played the Gentle Giant pieces The Boys in the band and The Return of The Giant (Italian: Il retorno del Gigante Gentile ).

Billy Sherwood (formerly Yes, World Trade, Circa :), of which continues after the departure of his partner, the Yes bassist Chris Squire from both launched Project Conspiracy alone has, in early 2007 Gary Green as guest musicians for a new Conspiracy album brought on board.

Today Green lives a bit away from Chicago in Illinois in the United States.
