Gary Wallis
Gary Wallis ( born June 10, 1964 in Westminster, London ) is a British drummer, percussionist, music producer, programmer and songwriter.
Biography
Gary Wallis studied at the London Symphony School of Music. A wider audience, he was known as a live percussionist for Pink Floyd in the post- Waters era. To hear and see is Wallis on the album Delicate Sound of Thunder or the associated video and on the Pulse album and video.
For Jean Michel Jarre Wallis made at the legendary Millennium concert in Egypt and the Metamorphoses Showcase in Paris for the right rhythm.
Wallis also played with Mike & the Mechanics, Nik Kershaw, Spinal Tap, Rod Stewart, Jean Michel Jarre, Style Council and 10cc. His nickname " Damage" he received from fellow musicians because of the high wear on equipment.
From 2002 to 2004 Wallis toured with the musical project Schiller by Germany, among others, with guest vocalists Sarah Brightman and Peter Heppner.
To her 30-year stage anniversary Wallis Marianne Rosenberg accompanied at her exclusive showcase in Master's Hall in Berlin ..
Wallis worked for, among others, Tom Jones, Paul Carrack and Atomic Kitten as a producer. For the band Il Divo, he worked both as a live drummer, as well as producer.
