Gas syringe
A syringe is used in the chemical laboratory apparatus for the handling of gases and has displaced the gas burette in many areas. Its uses include:
- Determining the volume of gas formed in a chemical process.
- Performing a test with a defined volume of a gas.
The syringe is similar to a glass syringe. Its volume is usually 100 ml The piston is located on a large area of the sleeve and is ground so that it is both smooth and gastight.
