Gasconade County, Missouri
The Gasconade County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. In 2010, the County had 15,222 inhabitants and a population density of 11.3 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Hermann, which was named after a German hero of the Navy.
Geography
The County is located in east-central Missouri on the south bank of the Missouri River. It covers an area of 1363 square kilometers, of which 14 square kilometers are water surface. At the Gasconade County borders the following Nachbarcountys:
History
The Gasconade County was formed on November 25, 1820 from parts of Franklin County. It was named after the Gasconade River, which was in turn according to their ancient homeland in southwestern France, Gascony, named by the first French settlers here.

According to the census in 2010 lived in Gasconade County 15,222 people in 6470 households. The population density was 11.3 inhabitants per square kilometer. In the 6470 households lived statistically 2.36 per person.
