Gastrodermis

As gastroderm the inner skin of polyps and medusae is called. The gastroderm dresses the Gastralraum (even Gastrovaskularsystem called ), which is used for digestion and distribution of nutrients. This gastroderm ( entodermal ) consists of mucous gland cells and enzymatic, Epithelmuskelzellen, often ciliate with cilia.
