Gastroduodenal artery

The gastroduodenal artery ( " gastro- duodenal artery ") is an artery of the abdominal cavity.

The gastroduodenal artery arises from the common hepatic artery (arteria hepatica communis), which is a branch of the celiac trunk. It divides into the superior pancreaticoduodenal artery and the gastroepiploic artery artery. The artery supplies the stomach outlet ( pylorus ), the greater curvature of the stomach, the initial portion of the duodenum, the greater omentum and pancreas.
