Gaubald

Gaubald, also Gawibald, Geupald or Gaibald (* 700, † 23 December 761 ) was the first bishop of the diocese of Regensburg. He is revered as Seliger.

He was consecrated in 739 by Boniface in Regensburg bishop. With it, the official count of the Bishop of Regensburg row, in front of him were walking bishops active in the region begins. Gaubald was also Abbot-Bishop of the monastery of St. Emmeram. He let the bones be buried Emmerams to 740 in the crypt of the later Benedictine abbey.
