GAUSS (Software)

GAUSS is a commercial mathematics and statistics system for programming development and is primarily dedicated to the solution of numerical problems in the areas of statistics, econometrics, time series, optimization and 2D and 3-D visualization. As Matlab is a programming language for calculation of complex matrix operations. These operations are facilitated by internal program libraries and more than 400 functions implemented. Similarly, C and FORTRAN program codes can be imported.

The first version appeared in 1984. Originally the program for MS- DOS was developed, but was then made ​​available for LINUX, Sun SPARC, and Windows.

A limited version is available as GAUSS Light.
