Gavarnie Falls

The Gavarnie Falls ( Grande Cascade ) are located in the Cirque de Gavarnie, in the French part of the Pyrenees. They are in the Pyrenees National Park (fr: Parc National des Pyrénées).

The Grande Cascade falls with a total height of 422 meters in two or three steps to the valley floor and is the highest waterfall of Europe. The largest single event section here has a height of 281 meters.

Your feed is fed by a karst lake of Monte Perdido on the Spanish side. The Grande Cascade provides the first major tributary of the Gave de Pau, a source of the Adour river.
