Gay Men's Health Crisis

Gay Men's Health Crisis ( GMHC ) is the world's oldest and largest non-profit organization supporting people with AIDS. The organization was founded in January 1982 in New York City. Founder of the organization were: Arthur Bell, Nathan Fain, Larry Kramer, Larry Mass, Paul Popham, Paul Rapaport and Edmund White.

Together with 200 employees make more than 6,000 volunteers support to individuals and families in the social, educational, legal and medical field. Complemented by professional educational work in a broader public and political representation of people living with HIV and AIDS GMHC provides a significant contribution to address the associated problems with this disease.

In GMHC volunteers work to afford the educational work for the HIV -negative population and social work for people living with HIV and AIDS. They also work with in ongoing research projects, mainly by collecting data.
