Gazeta Wyborcza

Gazeta Wyborcza ( [ ɡazɛta vɪbɔrt͡ʃa ], election newspaper ') is the largest national Polish newspaper with an average circulation of approximately 500,000 and an estimated readership of 4.5 million, It is considered the most important organ of opinion in Poland and is routed through the media group Agora.

The Gazeta Wyborcza was created as a result of the deliberations of the Round Table. The Solidarity trade union was then granted the right to the first democratic elections in Poland after the era of communism, a daily newspaper issue (hence the name choice newspaper ). The first eight-page edition was published on 8 May 1989 with a circulation of 150,000 copies. Editor in chief Adam Michnik. Today the newspaper employs 700 journalists in Poland and abroad 5. Politically represents the Gazeta Wyborcza most left-liberal positions understood, however as non-partisan.
