Gazzetta Chimica Italiana

Gazzetta Chimica Italiana, usually only as Gazz. Chim. Ital. (Abbreviation in older citations. Gazz ), named, was a major journals in the field of chemistry.

1871, the magazine in Italy by Stanislao Cannizzaro, a professor of chemistry at the University of Palermo and Emanuele Paternò ( employees of Cannizzaro, later a professor at the University La Sapienza in Rome) was founded.

In 1998, the magazine was merged with other European national journals of organic chemistry for European Journal of Organic Chemistry. In the field of inorganic chemistry was formed at the same time the analogous European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry.
