GB Glace

GB Glace is the largest ice cream producer in Sweden. The company was founded in 1942 and since 1996 belongs completely to Unilever. In addition to private label for the provision of GB Glace also include many brands that are known from other Unilever companies. In Germany Lagnese belongs to Unilever.

History

GB Glace arose when Mjölkcentralen, which later emerged Arla Foods, and Choklad - Thule, Stockholm's first ice cream manufacturer, Alaska Glace acquired and a new company called Glace Bolaget founded. In 1962, the company Gille -Glass and Trollhätteglass Unilever were bought. Glace Bolaget then bought six Swedish ice cream manufacturer, in 1966 it was decided to co-operate with two other companies, which GB was now represented in all of Sweden. 1973 merged with GB Trollhätteglass, Unilever remained business partners. 88: at was the only Trollhätteglass brand that was still produced.

Brands

Racism allegations

2005 has been criticized ( against racism Centre) for an advertising campaign for the new ice Nogger Black GB Glace from Centrum mot rasism.
