Gedaged (also Graged / Krangket, Ragetta, Star, Mitebog, Bel ) is a Papua New Guinea in the Astrolabe Bay and coastal villages around Madang of 6,954 ( 2003 SIL) Austronesian language spoken. 1975 were reported by SIL still 2,764 speakers. Within the country, mostly referred to as Bel, it has as a church language of today's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea on the group of native speakers also important. With the preamble Bel is also referred to various unrelated languages of the region, including also Takia and Marik.
Grammar
Possibly due to close contact with neighboring speakers of Papuan has at the Bel languages of sentence structure, altered from the usual for other languages of the language family subject- verb-object to subject-object -verb order.
Font
Gedaged for a long time already has a written form. 1925-1935 were translated first parts of the Bible. A complete edition of the New Testament followed in 1960. Approx. 25 to 50 percent of the speakers can also read the language and writing.
