Gediminas Budnikas

Gediminas Budnikas ( born February 11, 1944 in Paužuoliai, Rajongemeinde Ukmergė, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian politician and former basketball player.

Life

His parents were partisans and died 1945. 1959 ended Gediminas the eighth grade at the 4th Middle School Kaunas, then went to the food industry technical Kaunas and was technologist. In 1979 he finished his studies at the Faculty of Economics Kaunas Vilniaus valstybinis universitetas and in 2005 a master's degree at the Kauno technologijos universitetas. In 2000 he was mayor of Kaunas, 2001-2003 First Vice Mayor of Kaunas.

Starting in 1962, played at Kauno Zalgiris basketball, from 1962 to 1974 in the Lithuanian national team.
