Geetbets is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 5947 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). It lies on the left bank of the Gete and consists of the districts Geetbest, Grazen and Rummen.

Hasselt is 15 kilometers (km ) northeast, Maastricht 38 miles to the east, 43 km southeast of Liège and Brussels, about 52 km to the west.

The next highway exits are located in the north near Halen on A 2, in the east at Hasselt on the A 13 / E 313 and in the south near Tienen and Walshoutem on the A 3 / E 40
